Sotto is built with privacy as a core principle, not an afterthought.
No data collection
Sotto does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, audio, transcripts, or translations. Everything is processed locally on your Mac.
No analytics
Sotto does not use any analytics, tracking, or crash reporting services that transmit data off your device.
No accounts
Sotto does not require you to create an account. Your email address is only used by our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) to deliver your license key and receipt.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the Merchant of Record. Their privacy policy applies to the payment transaction. Sotto never sees your payment details.
License validation
When you activate a license key, Sotto makes a single request to Lemon Squeezy's API to verify the key. No audio, transcript, or personal data is included in this request.
